Hello

MCC-BRIGHT

Plan Burkina and its implementing partners (CRS, FAWE, and Tin-Tua) is honored to work in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MEBA) to help shape a brighter future for tens of thousands of Burkinabe girls and boys.

A $12.9m project financed by the US Government’s Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) through USAID, the BRIGHT project targets girls in particular, with a holistic approach in promoting education. Girlfriendly schools, take home rations for girls, mentoring, literacy for mothers, and child-care center are just some of the interventions which this innovative project promotes.

The Government of Burkina Faso has already opened 70 of the 132 planned school sites. Enrollment has greatly surpassed the forecast 3,300 children. The BRIGHT partners are currently in the process of constructing the 132 school complexes.
